Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of MN in Roseau, MN is seeking an Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a part-time, on-site role from 9:00pm to 6:00am. You will support up to four people with identified needs through person-centered care and help with daily living activities.

Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with a potential raise to $16.50 after six months, plus a $2,500 hiring bonus. The job includes comprehensive training, teamwork, and opportunities to grow within LSS.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required — training provided
• Comfort with basic computer use to document care
• Ability to read and write in English
• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record, pass Motor Vehicle Check
• Ability to pass a DHS background check

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences
• Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs
• Collaborative, mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion

• $16.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $16.50/hr!
• $2,500 Hiring Bonus!*

Shifts:

• This position is for a part-time Awake Overnight DSP (9:00pm-6:00am).

What You’ll Do:
