Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) is hiring an Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Faribault, MN. You will work on-site with a small residential group home supporting up to 4 individuals, providing person-centered care and daily living support.

Pay starts at $17.00 per hour with a wage increase to $17.50 after six months of consistent employment and a $1,000 hiring bonus. Shifts include overnight coverage; a strong commitment to dignity, respect, and inclusion is essential.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required — training and support provided.
• Genuine heart for helping others and ability to read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, hygiene, meals, and transportation.
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
• Advocate for rights, needs, and preferences of people served.
• Monitor health and well-being and report changes.
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
• Support up to 4 residents in a residential group home.

Pay:

• $17.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $17.50/hr!
• $1000 Hiring Bonus*

Shifts:

• Week 1: Tues, Wed, Thu, Fri 10pm-8am
• Week 2: Sat, Sun, Mon 8p-8a

What You’ll Do:

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences
• Monitor health and well‑being and report changes as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs
