Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Golden Valley, MN to assist individuals toward personal goals. You will support with meal prep, community outings, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, appointments, and medication administration.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or mental health concerns, experience with aggression, and familiarity with Emergency Use of Manual Restraints

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
• Comfortable providing personal cares and daily supports to participants.
• Must have a vehicle for work with current car insurance and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in working toward personal goals, including meal preparation, community outings, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, appointments, and medication administration.
• Respond to interfering behaviors and provide personal cares as needed.
• Provide supervision and transportation in the community; may use company vehicle or own vehicle.
