Job summary

The Southeast Missouri University Foundation seeks an Associate Vice President for University Advancement to lead fundraising operations and donor engagement. This role oversees a portfolio of major donors, advances philanthropic strategies, and partners with university leadership to drive a forthcoming comprehensive campaign.

The ideal candidate will bring 8–10 years of fundraising leadership, experience managing staff, and a track record of major gifts success.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in fundraising, advancement, or related field with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors.
• Experience supervising and developing professional staff with measurable outcomes.
• Knowledge of comprehensive fundraising campaigns and donor strategy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy and major gift solicitations to advance university priorities.
• Maintain an active prospect portfolio and drive donor engagement and stewardship.
• Coach and develop advancement staff to achieve measurable results.
• Oversee campaign readiness and staffing plans for a comprehensive drive.
• Foster alumni engagement and cross‑unit collaboration to expand philanthropy.
