Job summary

CNA Financial, a leading insurer, seeks an experienced executive to lead the National Accounts Property Structured Risk segment. You will drive underwriting excellence, profitability, and business development for a national portfolio across NY/NJ/New England, aligning with strategic plans.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will guide strategy, governance, and staff development while collaborating with Risk Control, Actuarial, and Claims teams to ensure risk-aware growth across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent.
• Typically a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, with 5 years in management.
• CPCU designation or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic objectives and underwriting strategies with substantial impact.
• Ensure profitability, growth, and operational efficiencies for product lines.
• Evaluate underwriting performance via financial analysis and reporting.
• Drive adherence to underwriting authority, audits, and catastrophe management.
• Collaborate with Risk Control, Actuarial, Claims, and Compliance teams.
• Provide guidance in developing underwriting training tools.
• May lead and manage staff with focus on talent development and succession.
