Job summary

CNA is seeking an AVP, Underwriting - NAP Structured Risk in Boston/NY area to lead a national accounts underwriting team. You will drive profitability, development of underwriting strategies, and collaboration across Risk Control, Actuarial, Claims, Worldwide Operations and Compliance.

The role emphasizes executive leadership, risk assessment, and the ability to manage a portfolio across NY, NJ, New England. A CPCU and a strong track record are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred or equivalent.
• Typically 10+ years of related experience, with 5+ years in management.
• CPCU designation is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a national accounts underwriting team for NAP Structured Risk.
• Implement underwriting strategies to drive profitability and growth.
• Collaborate with Risk Control, Actuarial, Claims and Compliance on governance.
• Develop underwriting tools and training; mentor staff and succession planning.
