AVP Software Engineer – Full Stack (Whippany, NJ)
Purpose of the role: To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our Trading desk.
- Provide Level 3 support to the trading desk.
- Interlock and work with other technology teams when needed.
- Manage tech debt upgrades for the underlying infrastructure (Operating System, Java runtime libraries, Database and caching software).
- Perform reviews on code implemented by other developers.
- Work with QA or independently validate changes being deployed into production.
- Manage deployments including CR creation, deployments, post implementation reviews.

Compensation and Benefits
Minimum Salary: $160,805 per year. Maximum Salary: $175,000 per year. This position is eligible for an incentive award. Employees are eligible for a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
Work Arrangement
This role may telecommute pursuant to company policies. It is a hybrid role.
