Job summary

Revantage, a Blackstone Real Estate portfolio company, seeks an AVP, Sr. Software Engineer to lead and contribute to engineering projects. The role designs and maintains data-driven software, building event-driven, serverless and microservice architectures in the cloud.

You will collaborate across teams to drive automation, testing and reliable delivery throughout the full software lifecycle. Based in Dallas or Chicago, this senior position requires 7+ years of experience, strong leadership, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience.
• Significant experience developing applications in Python or .NET.
• Experience building cloud-based solutions (Azure or AWS).
• Experience building serverless (FaaS) workloads on Azure or AWS.
• Solid understanding of event-based and containerized workloads.
• Knowledge of application logging and monitoring services and patterns.
• Experience developing, hosting and supporting REST APIs.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to engineering projects for Revantage and Blackstone portfolio companies.
• Design, develop and maintain data-driven software solutions.
• Build and operate event-driven, serverless and microservice-based architectures in the cloud.
• Collaborate with teams to drive automation, testing and reliable delivery of software solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing and deployment.
