Job summary

First Western Trust in Denver, CO is seeking an AVP, Senior Credit Analyst to lead complex underwriting, portfolio oversight, and client credit solutions. The role drives revenue through accurate analysis and disciplined credit processes while mentoring junior staff.

You will coordinate the full credit lifecycle, ensure pricing and documentation standards, and collaborate with Relationship Bankers to grow business with existing and new clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of lending, underwriting, and/or credit experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with banking and credit software and CRM systems.
• NMLS registration upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze complex loan requests, renewals, and modifications to ensure credit quality and proper structure.
• Coordinate all stages of the credit process from outreach through loan closing and onboarding.
• Maintain and monitor loan portfolio by tracking past dues, covenants, and annual reviews.
• Support cross-selling by identifying new lending opportunities for existing clients.
• Collaborate with Relationship Bankers and internal teams to develop new business for clients.
• Provide training to Credit Analysts and Loan Associates while ensuring regulatory compliance.
