Job summary

Dartmouth College is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Principal Gifts to lead and expand a high-level principal gifts program spanning Dartmouth Health and Geisel School of Medicine. The AVP will cultivate, solicit and close transformational gifts, partnering with institutional leadership to advance strategic initiatives and research, patient care, and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 15+ years of complex fundraising experience.
• Experience closing high-value gifts and managing large programs.
• Ability to lead and coach staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a principal gifts program exceeding $5M gifts.
• Lead fundraising strategy with institutional leadership and CDO.
• Manage a portfolio of principal gift prospects and close major gifts.
• Collaborate across Geisel School of Medicine and Dartmouth Health.
