UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital seeks an Associate Vice President of Nursing to lead professional nursing practice, set the vision for autonomous practice, and drive excellence in patient care within a high-performing healthcare organization.

You will oversee strategy, evaluation, and implementation of nursing systems, with emphasis on value-based care, infection control, patient experience, and cost-effective operations, ensuring staff engagement and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred and required within three years of start date.
• Current Florida nursing license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications for healthcare providers preferred.
• Maintains or exceeds all specialty educational requirements.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Minimum of five years of professional nursing practice experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of: Advanced professional nursing practice, CQI processes, Nursing care delivery models, Healthcare delivery systems, Budgetary processes.

• Aids in standardization and streamlining of processes across disciplines and departments improving effectiveness and efficiency while reducing cost.

Is effective at setting vision and has passion for the achievement of clinical excellence. Leads effective strategy and intentional execution around core clinical outcomes including but not limited to value-based purchasing, infections, LOS, readmissions and patient experience. Understands the importance and leads with discipline related to evidence-based medicine and innovation. Holds teams accountable and effectively prioritizes and paces the work to achieve results. The Associate Vice President of Nursing aids in standardization and the streamlining of processes across disciplines and departments improving effectiveness and efficiency while reducing cost.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required.
