Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking an Associate Vice President (AVP) of Nursing Professional Development to provide strategic and operational leadership for the region-wide nursing development and clinical competency program.

The AVP will establish and oversee an integrated professional development continuum, guiding entry-to-practice through advanced clinical and leadership roles while collaborating with executive leaders to sustain excellence in patient care and staff growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive nursing leadership in a healthcare system.
• Experience with ANCC Magnet/Pathway to Excellence initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy to achieve and sustain Pathway to Excellence designation region-wide.
• Integrate development, education, competency management, and leadership growth.
• Collaborate with executives, nursing leaders, educators, HR, and frontline staff.
• Develop framework for career pathways and professional recognition in nursing.
