Job summary

Jobtailor in New York seeks a senior Life Sciences Transformation leader to own P&L for the Life Sciences practice, drive revenue growth, margins, and resource utilization. You will lead business development, build client relationships, win proposals, and serve as trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders across pharma, biotech, medtech, and related life sciences segments.

Qualifications

MS or MBA required.
Life sciences-focused degree or specialization strongly preferred.
8–10 years of relevant experience in life sciences consulting or life sciences-centric industry roles.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing large-scale transformation efforts.
Proven business development track record with a strong network in the life sciences ecosystem.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, boutique consulting environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with executive presence.
Familiarity or fluency with AI tools and applications relevant to consulting or life sciences is nice to have.
Exposure to AI-driven analytics, automation, or digital enablement in client delivery is nice to have.
Understanding of how AI is reshaping business models within pharma, biotech, or medtech is nice to have.

Responsibilities

Own P&L responsibility for the Life Sciences practice/vertical, including revenue growth, margin management, and resource utilization.
Lead business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and driving proposal/RFP wins.
Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior client stakeholders across pharma, biotech, medtech, and related life sciences segments.
Lead and manage large-scale transformation programs, including operating model redesign, digital transformation, commercial effectiveness, and M&A integration.
Build, mentor, and manage high-performing consulting teams.
Foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Shape and deliver life sciences thought leadership, points of view, and go-to-market offerings.
Collaborate cross-functionally with practice leaders to expand service offerings and drive cross-sell opportunities.
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client forums to strengthen brand visibility.
Report directly to a Vice President of Life Science Transformation.
Contribute to impactful AI, data, and analytics engagements across the Life Sciences service spectrum.
