Job summary

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota seeks an AVP of Institutional Effectiveness to lead systems for evaluation, accreditation, data analytics, and assessment in support of its Lasallian mission. This role partners with university leadership to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making in alignment with the institutional goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of evaluation and continual improvement principles and practices in higher education.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research methods and design, data collection, and reporting.
• Ability to tailor reports to diverse stakeholders and interpret institutional data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to translate data into actionable plans.
• Ability to lead relationships across faculty and staff, and work independently or as a team lead.
• Strong computer skills across common job-related software programs.
• superb writing and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a system of institutional effectiveness planning, evaluation, and reporting for academic and non-academic units.
• Manage a data governance program and chair the data governance council.
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards for university decision-makers.
• Coordinate reaccreditation processes and report submissions with the Higher Learning Commission.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality expectations across campuses.
• Support institutional research activities and ensure consistent survey data use.
