Job summary

Amerisure Insurance Company is seeking an AVP, Information Security in Farmington Hills, MI, to lead the cybersecurity strategy and operations. The role focuses on risk-based solutions, regulatory compliance, and proactive defense across the enterprise.

You will oversee policy development, risk management, and the security governance program, reporting to executives and the board. A hybrid onsite model supports business resilience and strategic security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 in management
• 8+ years in Information Security with integration across apps/systems
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCISO, or equivalents
• Insurance or financial services knowledge preferred
• Strong communication and leadership for executive reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead security staff and manage budgeting and succession planning
• Advise CIO and execs on cybersecurity risks and posture
• Design enterprise security policy and standards
• Oversee risk assessments, third-party risk, and governance
• Direct SOC operations, incident response, and threat management
• Collaborate with ERM and business continuity teams
• Drive adoption of cutting-edge security technologies
