Job summary

Moody's AVP-Ratings (Fund Finance) in New York leads credit analysis and assigns ratings to fund finance transactions, driving analytical excellence and market engagement across North America.

You will build relationships with fund sponsors, lenders, and arrangers, represent Moody's at industry events, participate in Rating Committees, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to methodology and technology projects, including AI-enabled tools to improve processes and outputs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of credit/risk assessment experience in fund finance, asset management or structured finance.
• Understanding of asset management and fund finance sectors, including key players and industry drivers.
• Excellent communication skills with public speaking and writing experience.
• Strong quantitative aptitude with proficiency in financial modeling.
• Highly organized and efficient, able to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and interest in responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis for assigning new and surveillance ratings to fund finance transactions (rated note feeders, subscription facilities, NAV loans, asset-backed lending).
• Ensure rating accuracy and apply Moody's methodologies with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Participate in Rating Committees and contribute to analytical discussions and judgment building.
• Build and maintain relationships with fund sponsors, lenders, and arrangers.
• Represent Moody's Ratings at industry conferences, webinars, and in external publications.
• Support market engagement by responding to investor queries and developing external relationships.
• Contribute to methodology and technology development projects, including AI/digital tools to improve processes.
• Mentor and coach junior rating analysts.
