Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking an AVP - Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) to support CECL estimation processes. This role ensures data accuracy, supports calculation tools, and leads ACL packages and SEC disclosures for earnings and 10-Q filings.

The candidate will supervise others in ACL tool use, coordinate with stakeholders, and contribute to variance analyses and management reporting.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Accounting, Statistics, Math, Finance, Programming and Systems, Economics, Data Analytics, and Modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare documentation, reports, and lead presentations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with PowerBI or BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Possess proficient understanding with the ability to effectively and efficiently utilize software solutions utilized in the ACL process.
• Oversee data movement, reconciliations, assumption inputs, variance analysis, and waterfall configuration; train and supervise others to utilize features within the solution.
• Create, review, and distribute data and reports to internal management and external auditors/regulators, including the ACL Committee. Lead ACL business line working group meetings and prepare SEC disclosures.
• Review documentation of all processes and procedures; assist other employees in understanding all processes and procedures.
