Job summary

Dallas College seeks an Assistant Vice Chancellor, Enterprise Data Architecture and Reporting to lead enterprise data warehousing, governance, and official reporting. Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor, Strategic Research, Analytics & Effectiveness, you will set standards, drive data quality, and ensure timely submissions for state and accreditation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information systems, computer science, data engineering, data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in data warehousing, data engineering, data governance, institutional research, analytics, or official reporting.
• Five (5) years of experience leading and developing teams, including managers and/or multidisciplinary technical and reporting professionals.
• Direct experience producing/state/federal higher education reports; Texas experience preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with modern data platforms and ETL/ELT technologies.
• Experience implementing data governance, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and enterprise data-quality practices.
• Experience using AI and automation responsibly in data projects.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise strategy and multi-year roadmap for data warehousing, governance, data quality, and official reporting.
• Establish operating standards, service expectations, and performance measures across data warehousing and official reporting.
• Oversee architecture, development, and reliability of the enterprise data warehouse and pipelines.
• Ensure data ingestion, transformation, modeling, testing, and release processes produce accurate data assets.
• Lead data governance framework and stewardship networks in partnership with IT.
• Implement data-quality rules, scorecards, and reconciliation processes.
• Provide executive oversight for official reporting including calendars, validations, and certifications.
• Develop a responsible AI and automation roadmap to improve accuracy and speed.
