Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, seeks an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineering in Atlanta to lead complex power and building systems design. You will direct a team of electrical engineers on projects including generator plants, MV distribution, UPS, lighting and fire protection.

The role emphasizes client coordination, proposal development and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities to travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis.
• 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for high-performing commercial, industrial or data center buildings.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience mentoring and training others in the field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead project electrical engineering teams and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor project electrical engineers on complex data center projects.
• Design complex electrical medium and low voltage distribution systems.
• Develop and manage project work plans, budgets and client communications.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and vendors.
• Prepare proposals and assist in sales and client interactions.
• Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
