LPL Financial is seeking a full-time AVP, Edge Security Engineer to join the Network & Security Engineering team. You will architect, build, and support enterprise-grade edge infrastructure and security controls, and develop technical designs and architecture artifacts aligned with security standards.

The role requires strong security and operations experience in a 24/7 enterprise, with the ability to drive projects independently and collaborate across teams.

Competenze

• 4+ years designing, building, and supporting enterprise edge infrastructure and security controls with CDN platforms such as Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai.
• 4+ years with enterprise monitoring platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana).
• 3+ years with global load balancing solutions (NS1, Route 53, UltraDNS, Cloudflare).
• 2+ years managing enterprise DNS (Infoblox, BIND).
• 2+ years building infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Go).
• 4+ years collaborating with development teams and PMs to architect and deliver infrastructure solutions.

• Architect, build, and support highly available, secure, and scalable edge infrastructure
• Partner with Enterprise and Security Architecture teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise security standards
• Perform continuous edge threat hunting and mitigation
• Define and implement edge security infrastructure standards to drive automation, scale, and consistency
• Improve availability, security, and observability while closing control gaps across edge environments
• Conduct research and POCs to evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure, customer-focused solutions
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting availability, security, and performance incidents
