Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company seeks an experienced Assistant Vice President of Architecture within the EDDA organization. The role leads architecture teams focused on Data Products and Enablement, shaping technical strategy for Master Data Management, geospatial capabilities, and an enterprise Generative BI platform.

Hybrid/in-office options support Hartford, CT delivery. You will guide senior leadership, govern data platforms, and ensure secure, scalable delivery across cloud environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent is required.
• At least 10+ years of architecture experience and strong engineering background expected.
• Proven leadership in shaping enterprise technology strategy and architecture vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more architecture teams across major segments or domains.
• Define target state technology architecture and roadmaps.
• Align initiatives to target state, standards and business objectives.
• Identify technology opportunities and assess impact on enterprise.
• Define and lead large technology proofs of concepts to test feasibility.
• Drive transformation to reduce technical debt and improve outcomes.
• Partner with senior leadership to set priorities and direction.
• Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
• Communicate architectural direction clearly to stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration between engineering and business teams.
