Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP Acquisition Credit Strategy to develop, implement, and monitor credit acquisition strategies across clients. The role reports to the VP Acquisition Credit Strategy and emphasizes advanced analytics, strategy validation, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities include driving profitable growth within risk appetite, reducing credit risk with data-driven methods, and ensuring proper documentation and post-implementation validation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or related quantitative field, or 6+ years analytics experience in credit/fraud.
• 3+ years’ analytics experience in credit or fraud in financial services.
• 1+ year experience with SAS, Python, or SQL.
• 1+ year experience with Excel, advanced features.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor new account credit strategies to drive profitable growth within risk appetite.
• Create strategies minimizing Synchrony’s and partners' risks while balancing risk-reward.
• Use advanced analytics to build, validate, implement and monitor key credit metrics.
• Drive strategies using champion/challenger learnings to reduce risk and improve customer experience.
• Communicate strategy recommendations clearly in meetings and document strategies for audit.
• Coordinate with implementation teams to ensure correct rollout of strategies.
