Job summary

Ephrata National Bank is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for the institution. You will lead the monthly and quarterly closes, assist with SEC filings, and ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls while guiding the accounting team.

You will collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting to support strategic initiatives and maintain the integrity of financial data.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in banking or public company environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of banking laws and SEC reporting.
• SOX familiarity and supervisory experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting entries and financial reporting.
• Assist with SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and support audits and financial analyses.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives and process improvements.
