Job summary

Ephrata National Bank is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate data. The role leads audits, internal controls, and strategic financial initiatives while developing the accounting team.

Responsibilities include supervising daily entries, assisting with SEC filings, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support bank-wide decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in banking or public company.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting entries.
• Provide strategic oversight of key accounting functions and internal controls.
• Assist with SEC filings (10-K/10-Q/8-K) and regulatory reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff and ensure deadlines.
