Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an Associate Vice President, Clinical Intelligence to lead the enterprise strategy and roadmap for Humana's clinical intelligence products, including AI-driven clinical actions and safety standards.

You will direct multiple teams, partner with engineering and business leaders, and set enterprise standards for AI safety while shaping the future of consumer healthcare across payer and care delivery businesses. Remote with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD or equivalent degree in data science, informatics, public health, a clinical discipline, or a related field.
• Fifteen or more years of related professional experience.
• Seven or more years of people management experience, including experience leading leaders and multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in informatics, clinical intelligence, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and formulate, communicate, and implement enterprise strategy.
• Demonstrated success influencing decisions across payer and care delivery businesses.
• Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving the consumer healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and own the enterprise clinical intelligence vision, mission, strategy, and two to four year roadmap.
• Direct multiple teams responsible for clinical informatics, care pathways and clinical AI safety and evaluation, translating clinical guidelines and evidence into configurable pathways that scale across conditions.
• Partner with engineering and business leaders across the health plan and CenterWell to deliver clinical intelligence products against enterprise outcome targets.
• Manage enterprise standards for AI clinical safety, a decision area with regulatory, reputational, and member-safety exposure.
• Lead planning, staffing, budgeting, expense priorities, talent decisions, and changes to methods and practices for the function.
• Contribute significantly to interdepartmental initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy and represent the company on matters of great significance.
