Job summary

SAFE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION in Sumter, SC seeks an AVP of Card and ATM Services to lead the debit/credit card portfolio, ATMs/ITMs, and related payments programs. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge and strategic oversight, reporting to the VP of Electronic Services.

Responsibilities include product development, analytics, vendor management, and ensuring superior member experience across card channels while maintaining regulatory compliance and market competitiveness.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be outgoing, analytical, enthusiastic, conscientious, group oriented, open to change and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
• Ten to twelve years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Previous experience as a leader in a credit union highly preferred.
• Experience with card products, in the financial industry including knowledge in core banking platforms, payments, and omni channels systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees card and ATM services, including strategic and tactical planning, product development, and member experience.
• Measures, analyzes, and reports on product performance to drive growth and member value.
• Develops and maintains strategies, policies, and plans that support business objectives.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging card trends and competitive market developments.
• Collaborates with other departments to educate members about products and services.
• Oversee compliance with network reporting requirements on various cadences.
• Leads risk, vendor relations, and enhancements for cards, payments, and digital products.
