Description

Execute business marketing strategies, initiate contact with existing and potential customers, identify their needs, and sell and manage ongoing services to meet those needs. Assist in developing and facilitating proposals for brokers/clients, including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and client presentations. Build long-term client relationships. Extensive out-of-town travel is required for presentations, workshops, and meetings.

Essential Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing/Sales, or related field, with 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Insurance business development and underwriting. Experience in proposal development for brokers/clients.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Develop and implement individual marketing strategies.
  • Manage and grow membership in assigned accounts.
  • Achieve premium growth through renewals and new business.
  • Contact prospective customers, assess needs, and build relationships.
  • Maintain ongoing broker, vendor, and client relationships.
  • Participate in on-site visits and meetings.
  • Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations.
  • Prepare marketing materials.
  • Develop price estimates and proposals with team input.
  • Establish budgets.
  • Lead contractual negotiations and support team negotiations.
  • Produce professional documentation, proposals, and submissions.
  • Track and report proposal statuses.
  • Communicate outcomes to internal teams.
  • Support activities for captive teams.
  • Engage in workshops and relationship-building activities.
  • Perform other related duties.

Priorities: Captive Membership Growth, Customer Service and Relationships.

Travel Required
