Job description

The VTE Business Development Manager, using independent judgment and as a subject matter expert, takes a lead role with responsibility for building and leading VTE program strategies within defined geographical areas. Cultivating and maintaining relationships at multiple levels among hospitals to develop overarching program strategies. Broad support of regional team members and ongoing ownership of training related to all aspects of VTE Excellence.

Responsibilities
  1. Regional Ownership of Program Development and support of strategic initiatives with Regional Sales Director/AVP.
  2. Top-down, proactive effort to drive strategic initiatives across regional hospitals and within the regional team.
  3. Identify, influence, and gain support/partnerships for VTE program building initiatives with key hospital administrators and stakeholders.
  4. Manage and master VTEE program building with ongoing success, aligning with company objectives.
  5. Partner with the National Account Team to drive program initiatives across key IDN hospitals.
  6. Gain commitment from groups to perform economic analysis and clinical performance reviews.
  7. Use analysis and review data to drive business growth through top-down efforts; define structure and vision.
  8. Oversee marketing and awareness campaigns within these groups.
  9. Maintain consistent communication with Sales Team, NAM Team, and cross-functional workstreams to complete projects.
  10. Develop partnerships with AVP, RSDs, NAM, MDS, and Account Managers.
  11. Identify solutions for building rapport with key customers and assist regions in identifying new opportunities and utilizing company resources.
  12. Enhance knowledge of market developments and company products; train regional teams on VTEE initiatives related to program development.
  13. Create a collaborative, inspiring, and accountable environment through regular communication, embodying company culture.
  14. Demonstrate leadership within the team and organization.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance, or equivalent.
  • 6-7 years of business development experience in MedTech.
  • Experience working with Sales, Management, and Marketing to expand regional market share.
  • Proven success in creating hospital programs and business development.
  • Creative problem solver with strong interpersonal skills and cross-boundary collaboration ability.
  • Strong work ethic, followership, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen with financial understanding.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of company products, competition, and market trends.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree in marketing, business, finance, or related field.
  • Regional and national leadership experience.
  • Background in building and facilitating hospital programs.
