Job summary

University of South Carolina seeks an Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of advancement services across the USC system. The role oversees analytics, prospect strategy, revenue/compliance, information systems, and technology initiatives to optimize fundraising performance and donor stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a job-related field and at least 10 years of related experience.
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with constituent donor databases and system conversion experience.
• Strong knowledge/skills in data management, fundraising analytics, and development operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and oversight for Analytics and Client Solutions, Research & Prospect Strategy, Revenue and Compliance, and Information Systems & Technology teams.
• Develops and maintains a comprehensive strategic plan to support division mission and university priorities.
• Ensures data integrity, system security, and accurate reporting across fundraising platforms.
• Oversees budgeting, resource allocation, and staff training to enable fundraising success and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Collaborates with division leaders, development directors, and campus partners to align advancement services with institutional priorities.
