Job summary

Worthingtonbank, located in Sundance Square, Downtown Fort Worth, seeks an Accounting Manager, AVP, to support the Senior Controller in GAAP-compliant financial operations. You will oversee designated general ledger activity, assist with Call Reports, budgeting, and financial reporting, and serve as a cross-trained backup for essential accounting functions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of bank accounting experience, a Bachelor's in business with accounting/finance emphasis, and experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in bank accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in business with accounting or finance emphasis preferred.
• Experience as a Bank Controller or Bank Cashier preferred.
• Experience with Call Reporting preferred.
• Experience with Fiserv Premier and/or Prologue a plus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger and Financial Reporting: monitor GL activity, review entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Regulatory Reporting: prepare Call Report schedules, reconcile data to GL, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Month-End Close and Cross-Training: backup designated accounting functions and support closing deadlines.
• Budgeting and Financial Analysis: assist with budget prep, projections, and variance analysis.
• Process Improvement and Internal Controls: develop procedures, support audits, and strengthen controls.
