Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking an electronics test technician to follow blueprints and test procedures, document results, and ensure quality of avionics assemblies.

The role requires reading schematics, basic troubleshooting, and hands-on use of DMM, oscilloscope, signal generator, and spectrum analyzer. You will work on production tests, train others, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations.
• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) or vocational/technical education with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• AS in Electronics Technology education/degree preferred.
• RF, Digital, Analog Circuit experience preferred.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Working knowledge of DMM, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer.
• Basic component level troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerance levels.
• Performs functional testing per pre-established test procedure.
• Monitors tests and records data; services test equipment as required.
• Documents acceptance or failure results.
• Proficiently uses tools such as SAP and follows work instructions.
• Trains others for technical tasks as needed.
• Interfacing with other groups to update or resolve issues.
• Participates in audits and waste minimization efforts.
