Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a detail-oriented technician to test and troubleshoot avionics and related systems. You will set up testing equipment, document results, and move materials on testing platforms while maintaining a strong work ethic under pressure.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma with related manufacturing experience and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance. Responsibilities include calibration, repair of RF and power circuits, schematics-based troubleshooting, and ERP

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate avionics equipment, SE, and aircraft components.
• Repair EW systems, sensor systems and components, wiring harnesses and interconnecting cables.
• Repair amplifier and logic circuits; microwave equipment; servomechanisms; radio frequency circuits; video displays; and power supply circuits.
• Work with rectifiers and controllers circuitry.
• Troubleshot power supply modules and I/O modules to component level by replacing various chips and components that have high fault rate
• Experience with using schematics and drawing to troubleshoot electronic circuits
• Looked BOM’s to identify failed components, ordered parts and maintained stock
• Understanding and be able to perform ERP systems (SAP/ETS/Microsoft Access)
