Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Houston is seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join our Test team. The role focuses on advancing COTS and custom avionics through development and flight testing, with emphasis on electrical and electro‑mechanical hardware.

You will collaborate across systems engineering, mechanical, propulsion, and software groups to define test requirements, execute plans, analyze anomalies, and drive root‑cause resolution, while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or related electro‑mechanical field.
• 3–5 years in avionics engineering; 10+ years if no degree.
• Experience with avionics design, flight harnesses, and testing.
• Ability to work in cross‑functional teams and apply rigorous testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Support avionics test campaigns from assembly through functional, TVAC, vibe and thermal testing.
• Lead or support test plan development, execution, anomaly analysis, and root‑cause investigations.
• Collaborate with propulsion, mechanisms, thermal, and software teams to define requirements.
• Drive root‑cause closure and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain thorough documentation of tests, results, and compliance.
