Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking an Avionics Test Engineer, Hardware to join the test team in Playa Vista. You will own test hardware, develop test racks, and work with flight hardware across development, qualification, and production phases.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, RF, software, and systems engineers to establish test requirements, strategies, and to troubleshoot hardware. This role is hands-on and impactful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (EE/AE/Physics) or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace hardware or avionics testing.
• Hands-on lab instrumentation and hardware bring-up experience.
• Experience with complex electrical test setups and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of HW integration, verification, and validation workflows.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and independent work能力.
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own design, build, integration, and maintenance of bus-level avionics test racks.
• Develop and maintain FlatSats and avionics testbeds with interfaces and emulators.
• Lead hardware integration activities including harnessing and rack assembly.
• Define test architecture with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Troubleshoot flight hardware using oscilloscopes, multimeters, VNAs, and generators.
• Perform hardware bring-up and end-to-end system checkout.
• Create custom test fixtures and electronics as needed.
• Support qualification, regression, and spacecraft-level testing.
