Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a software/engineering intern on-site in Long Beach, CA, to work with mentors and a dynamic team on real missions. You’ll apply engineering concepts, contribute to hardware/software initiatives, and grow professionally through structured mentorship and frequent progress updates.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program with at least one semester left, possess a GPA of 3.0+, and have 3+ months of applied engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant field with at least one semester remaining post internship.
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or projects)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mentors and team members to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
• Work in a fast-paced group to translate theory into tangible hardware/software solutions.
• Participate in regular 1:1s with mentors to track progress and learning.
• Attend tech talks and network with interns and staff during events.
