Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Test Engineer (STARFALL) to design test systems for avionics hardware destined for space missions. You will develop in-house test solutions, author Python automation, and work with design, manufacturing, and test teams to boost reliability and yield.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, test coverage improvements, and participating in a fast-paced, safety‑driven development environment with meaningful impact on space exploration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or physics.
• 1+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering.
• 1+ years of Python programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop test solutions for in-house avionics hardware products that will fly to space.
• Write automation software in Python to interact with units under test, test equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test-lab teams to improve reliability and yield.
• Root-cause test failures and implement mitigations as part of continuous improvement.
