Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Avionics Technician to install, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment on CBP aircraft, including radar, communications and navigation systems. You will troubleshoot complex systems using manuals and drawings and work with advanced test gear to verify operation.

Responsibilities include component removal, installation, calibration, and documentation in aircraft logs, while mentoring less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years avionics/electrical experience.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of corrosion prevention is desirable.
• Ability to obtain CBP clearance and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify avionics, electrical and instrumentation systems on aircraft.
• Interpret manufacturer manuals, drawings or publications to solve problems.
• Use avionics test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, counters) for checks.
• Remove, repair, install, inspect and operationally check components.
• Log entries and provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
