Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Wheeling, IL, is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician to work on-site, troubleshooting and repairing avionics units and aircraft systems.

This full-time role involves panel/component removal, repair work, and coordination with customers on project management and pricing. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with electronics/avionics training preferred, and possess basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license approved for travel or passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate avionics systems on the aircraft.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components.
• Verify aircraft performance and system operation.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Interact with customers in project management, pricing and support roles.
• Work independently on projects and communicate effectively in English.
