Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Avionics Technician to install, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment on CBP aircraft. The role involves troubleshooting avionics and electrical systems, interpreting manuals, and using advanced test equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Responsibilities include component removal/installation, log entries, and guiding less experienced technicians, with a focus on safety and accuracy in a shop, hangar, or flight line setting.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of aircraft avionics/electrical related experience required.
• Must be able to obtain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Familiar with maintenance/technical manuals, publications, tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify avionics, electrical and instrumentation systems on aircraft.
• Interpret manufacturers’ manuals or drawings to solve complex problems.
• Use avionics test equipment to perform troubleshooting and operational checks.
• Perform removal, repair, installation, inspection, and operational check of system components.
• Repair or replace components based on test results following blueprints and schematics.
• Make entries in aircraft logs and records; provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
