Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to install, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment on CBP aircraft in Texas. You will troubleshoot avionics, electrical and instrumentation systems, interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings, and perform complex diagnostics to ensure mission readiness.

Responsibilities include removal, repair, installation, inspection, calibration, and operational checks of system components, plus logging entries and guiding less experienced

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of aircraft avionics/electrical related experience required.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate English.
• Must be able to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings.
• Must have ability to obtain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify avionics, electrical and instrumentation systems installed on aircraft.
• Solve complex problems by interpreting manuals or drawings and applying technical knowledge.
• Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, frequency counters, multimeters to perform checks.
• Perform removal, repair, installation, inspection, and operational checks of system components.
• Repair or replace components based on test results and blueprints; calibrate as needed.
• Make entries in aircraft logs and provide guidance to junior technicians throughout maintenance tasks.
