Job summary

A leading company in aviation services is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician II to support their Airframe MRO operations in Augusta, Georgia. This hands-on role involves diagnosing and repairing advanced avionics systems for corporate aircraft. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in avionics troubleshooting, particularly with corporate aircraft like Falcon and Gulfstream, alongside a commitment to maintaining safety practices. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Avionics experience, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and service/repair.
• Experience with Falcon, Challenger, Gulfstream, Hawker, or Embraer aircraft.
• Maintenance experience with cabin connectivity systems and avionics products.
• High school diploma or GED required; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex avionics system issues.
• Perform on-aircraft troubleshooting and functional checks.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Planning departments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning and other departments to resolve discrepancies or modification challenges.
• Repair or replace defective wiring, components, LRUs, connectors, or antennas to restore operation.
• Use OEM manuals, IPCs, AMMs, and FAA guidance for compliant repairs and alterations.
• Assist with ramp service troubleshooting events and support AOG response as needed.
• Complete documentation per FAA regulations and StandardAero quality standards.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and FOD prevention on the hangar floor.

We are currently seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to support the Service side of our Airframe MRO operations. In this hands‑on role, you’ll perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair work on complex avionics systems—keeping aircraft flight‑ready and our clients confident in every mission.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex avionics system issues, including communication, navigation, surveillance, cabin management, and flight control systems.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and STC instructions to isolate faults and determine corrective actions.
• Perform on‑aircraft troubleshooting, functional checks, and system‑level testing on corporate aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and other departments to resolve unique system discrepancies or modification challenges.
• Repair or replace defective wiring, components, LRUs, connectors, or antennas to restore full operational capability.
• Utilize OEM manuals, IPCs, AMMs, and FAA guidance to ensure repairs and alterations are in full regulatory compliance.
• Assist with ramp service troubleshooting events and support AOG response efforts as needed.
• Complete all required documentation in accordance with FAA regulations and StandardAero’s quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, cleanliness, and FOD prevention practices on the hangar floor.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Avionics experience—with a strong focus on troubleshooting and service/repair (not just installation).
• Experience troubleshooting avionics systems on Falcon, Challenger, Gulfstream, Hawker, Embraer, or other corporate/business aircraft platforms.
• Maintenance experience with cabin connectivity systems and avionics products such as Starlink, GoGo, SmartSky, Rockwell Collins, or Honeywell.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship.

Preferred Characteristics

• FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) and/or FAA A&P License
• In‑depth knowledge of both electrical and electronic principles, and the ability to interpret complex schematics and system layouts.
• Working knowledge of bonding and grounding techniques, continuity testing, and aircraft power systems.
• Prior exposure to maintenance tracking programs, STC packages, and engineering documentation.
