Job summary

Clay Lacy Aviation in Van Nuys, CA is seeking an Aircraft Avionics Technician I to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations on avionics systems in accordance with FAA regulations. You will document activities, ensure parts meet airworthiness, calibrate tooling, and support a safe, professional work environment.

Some travel for training may be required. The role requires 3–5 years of avionics experience, with preference for an A&P and FCC licenses.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of aircraft avionics experience required.
• Experience supporting Part 91 and/or Part 135 aircraft operations.
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred; FCC license preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations on avionics systems.
• Document maintenance activities and discrepancies per FAA and company requirements.
• Ensure parts are received, inspected, and meet airworthiness requirements prior to installation.
• Verify calibration status of tooling before use.
• Accurately document removal and installation of aircraft components.
• Maintain safety and professional work environment.
• Travel for training or operational support.
