Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing is seeking an Avionics Technician to diagnose, repair, and test avionics on turbine-powered aircraft. Responsibilities include inspecting and testing navigation, communication, autopilot, radar and related systems, following FAA rules and company procedures. Travel for AOG support may be required.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, and 3–5 years of avionics experience, plus strong schematics literacy and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• 3–5 years of avionics experience on turbine-powered aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of digital avionics systems and aircraft system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Learjet experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair avionics discrepancies using approved technical data.
• Perform operational checks and testing of navigation, communication, autopilot, radar, and other avionics systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring, avionics systems, and integration issues.
• Support scheduled inspections, modifications, upgrades, and installations.
• Install, configure, and test avionics components and systems.
• Perform post-installation operational checks and verify system functionality.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and company manuals.
• Accurately document completed work and maintain proper parts traceability.
• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and regulatory compliance.
• Support tool calibration and provide technical input for process improvements.
• Travel as needed to provide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support.
