Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics systems such as radar, radio, navigation, autopilot, and compass in aircraft. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure correct assembly, installation, and regulatory compliance.

Work will be in the hangar at PDK, Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, with occasional overtime. This Contract to Hire position is based in Chamblee, GA, offering a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, testing, and repairing avionics equipment.
• Ability to use oscillosopes, digital meters, and circuit analyzers.
• Experience analyzing test results and following technical documents.
• Knowledge of FAR maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect avionics components for defects and ensure proper connections.
• Test avionics under simulated or actual conditions to verify performance and airworthiness.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on test results.
• Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
• Accompany flight crew for in-flight adjustments and post-flight repairs.
• Comply with FAR inspections such as 91.411 and 91.413.
• Operate ground station for air-to-station checks and calibrations.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses and comply with upgrades/modifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
