RTX is offering a Systems Engineering Co-op in the United States to collaborate across engineering disciplines on avionics products from requirements to verification and qualification. You will learn how to transform technical challenges into executable plans and how systems engineers align multidisciplinary teams.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in a technical field and demonstrate foundational problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in a technical discipline and actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Foundational engineering problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work across engineering disciplines and follow a complex avionics product from requirements and architecture through design, integration, verification, and qualification.
• Learn how systems engineers turn technical challenges into executable plans and keep multidisciplinary teams aligned.
• Develop and refine system and product requirements with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Help define verification methods, test cases, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate hardware and software and perform hands-on testing in an avionics laboratory.
• Investigate problems crossing systems, hardware, software, firmware, and test boundaries.
• Participate in technical reviews and evaluate design alternatives and engineering tradeoffs.
