Garmin International is seeking a full-time Aircraft Systems Engineer 2 for its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will lead avionics design and installation tasks for STC projects and coordinate with technicians and project leads.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering and at least one year of relevant experience, strong FAA knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD/SolidWorks. You’ll mentor junior engineers and document certification activities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Detailed working knowledge of aircraft manuals and FAA certification content.
• Strong FAA regulation understanding and ability to design for compliance.
• Proficiency with avionics interface standards and installation processes.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design or analysis of avionics and flight control installations.
• Generate, review, or interpret wiring diagrams and installation drawings for Garmin STC projects.
• Coordinate with project leads and technicians to complete tasks.
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting installation and wiring issues.
• Lead preparation and verification of documentation required for certification.
• Generate or review test plans/reports and support compliance data.
