Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Space Systems Engineer II, Avionics to oversee the design, integration, and testing of avionics systems for our Winnebago Spaceship. You will ensure readiness for launch and reentry, collaborating with multiple teams to meet mission objectives and drive engineering best practices.

The role emphasizes HITL testbeds, system validation, and ground infrastructure development, with on-site responsibilities in California and potential involvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3+ years of system design, test planning, and validation experience.
• Proficiency in Python for development and debugging.
• Experience with power supplies, DAQ systems, RTD, and 4-20mA devices.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project scopes from concept to production.
• Develop electrical architecture, diagrams, and budgets for power/telemetry channels and mass predictions.
• Analyze architecture for faults and develop mitigation plans including FDIR when needed.
• Create verification plans for avionics systems on flight and HITL hardware for readiness.
• Participate in mission operations as an Avionics specialist or systems operator.
