Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for Falcon & Dragon to bridge design, analysis, and production while enabling high-rate launches. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines to improve vehicle performance and reliability, performing real-time troubleshooting from integration to flight operations.

You will lead system projects, develop validation techniques, and ensure safety of crew and payload with a strong focus on manufacturability and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or math.
• 1+ years of experience using MATLAB, C++, or Python.
• 1+ years of experience with electrical component design, system-level integration, or system-level testing.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Falcon & Dragon avionics system throughout all stages of integration, from production and test to launch and refurbishment.
• Troubleshoot issues on prototype and production assemblies on an aggressive production schedule.
• Collaborate with other teams to define project scope and initial requirements as new designs move from concept to production.
• Develop tools and processes to support an unprecedented launch rate.
• Assess manufacturability, quality, and cost for new designs and drive optimization.
• Lead system projects with detailed schedules and resource planning.
• Develop, execute, and document avionics system verification on flight hardware.
