SpaceX in California is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for Falcon & Dragon to bridge analysis, design, and production across integration to launch.
You will troubleshoot real-time on vehicle, own system verification, and drive new designs to improve performance and maintain an aggressive launch cadence.
This role requires collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines to ensure safety and reliability of crew and payload.
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
As a systems engineer in Falcon & Dragon Avionics, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of a cross functional team of engineers that bridge the gap between vehicle analysis, design, and production extending through vehicle operations. You’ll be part of a team that owns a wide scope, combining mechanical, electrical and software engineering practices to enable an unprecedented launch rate while maintaining a high reliability to ensure mission success.
Your creativity and relentless commitment to quality will be expected to analyze systems designs, define new processes, develop system validation techniques and introduce new designs in order to improve vehicle performance, bring down cost and sustain an aggressive launch rate for the leading launch vehicle in the world. You will also put your engineering knowledge to the test by performing real-time troubleshooting on the vehicle as it goes from the integration phase through launch operations. Our fundamental goal is to allow humanity to explore the stars; with it comes extreme responsibility to ensure the safety of the crew and payload.
