Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer – Display Systems in Phoenix, AZ to support Honeywell EPIC Integrated Flight Deck avionics. This contract opportunity features hybrid work (2-3 days onsite) with relocation assistance for the Phoenix area and a path to contract-to-hire or direct hire.

You will design, integrate, and test aircraft-level display systems, provide systems engineering support across FMS, GN&C, Flight Controls, Datalink, and SWS, and apply ARP-4754 life-cycle processes on

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems, avionics, software, or aerospace engineering.
• Expertise with Honeywell EPIC integrated avionics systems.
• Bachelor's degree in EE, aerospace, systems engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of full life cycle systems engineering (ARP-4754).
• Experience with Honeywell EPIC Displays integrating with Flight Controls, FMS, Datalink, or related aircraft systems.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Business jet avionics experience.
• Display systems and associated applications (EI, CAS, PFD, Synoptics, ECL).
• Experience with aircraft wiring diagrams and modified inputs across systems to support flight tests.
• Experience building tools to support flight test campaigns.
• Experience integrating avionics functionality across Displays, FMS, Flight Controls, Datalink, Radios, Surveillance, and Navigation.

Responsibilities

• Support aircraft-level avionics systems design, integration, and test on the Honeywell EPIC Integrated Flight Deck.
• Provide systems engineering and integration support for Displays and Graphics across FMS, Guidance, Navigation, Flight Controls, Autopilot, and Datalink products.
• Support Surface Warning Systems (SWS) functionality within the Surface Management System (SMS).
• Conduct systems validation and testing of new avionics functionality using dynamic aircraft simulation and test facilities (SITS benches).
• Apply full life-cycle systems engineering practices (Systems Development "V" model, ARP-4754) to avionics integration work.
